Over the last three months agents Holloway Iliffe & Mitchell has brought new tenants into several vacant retail premises in Petersfield town centre. Most recently, Turkish barber Golden Scissors opened on the High Street, just a few weeks after The Dog’s Trust which has a new shop next to Marks and Spencer.

Stuart Mitchell, Director of agents Holloway Iliffe & Mitchell who let all four premises comments: “Petersfield has enjoyed a new level of interest from the retail sector over recent months. In spite of political uncertainty and Brexit negotiations, we have seen the level of enquiries for town centre units increase significantly and look forward to seeing new shops opening in the autumn.”

Golden Scissors owner, Huseyin Yolcu added: “Petersfield had been recommended to me and having asked around, it became clear that a professional Turkish barber would be popular. We have only been open for two weeks and business is already better than I had expected, especially as it is still holiday season. I hope every gentleman in the town will try my salon at least once to see our skill and experience.”

Over the next few months further deals are due to complete, substantially reducing the available space in the town.
