Holloway Iliffe & Mitchell is an independent firm of chartered surveyors and commercial & industrial property consultants, having considerable market knowledge and awareness in all aspects of the commercial market along the south coast, particularly the M27 corridor and surrounding conurbations.
The two directors each have specialised knowledge within the professional, agency and development sectors. This includes management, to incorporate industrial/warehousing, offices, retail, investments and development.

Tom Holloway joined the company in late 1999. Having been born and bred on the south coast this has provided him a thorough understanding of the regional market place. He lives in Winchester which enables access to the whole of the central southern region.
He looks after all sectors of commercial agency and investment across this region and has acted for many clients ranging from local investors through to corporate organisations as well as providing professional advise on rent reviews and asset valuation.
Hamish MacAlister joined Holloway Iliffe and Mitchell in 2018 as a commercial management surveyor. He lives in the New Forest area. Hamish studied for an MSc in Real Estate. He has worked in the property industry since 2010, managing a diverse commercial portfolio building a detailed knowledge of all aspects of Landlord and Tenant work, Asset Management and Development.
Beau is a Chartered Surveyor with circa 30 years’ experience having worked as Landlord, Tenant, Agent and Principal. Whether it be a central London “trophy” office, trade counter or office park, shopping centre, industrial estate or single shop he is equally comfortable working with all parties to achieve the most favourable outcome. He has lived and worked on the South Coast for 20 years and in his spare time enjoys spending time with his family, exploring the countryside and learning to play the guitar.
Nick joined Holloway Iliffe and Mitchell in October 2022 and has 40 years experience dealing with commercial premises predominantly throughout Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire, acting for both private and corporate landlords, as well as occupiers. Nick is a member of the Southern Area Arbitrators and Independent Experts Club and specialises in rent reviews, lease renewals/restructures and break options. He has acted as an Expert Witness on rent reviews where a negotiated settlement has not been possible. He also advises clients on strategic occupational advice and acquisitions.
In his spare time, Nick volunteers on the Wey and Arun Canal, enjoys walking his Springer Spaniel on the South Downs, watching rugby at The Stoop and playing golf.
Stuart Mitchell qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1990 having worked in the Portsmouth area since 1985; he now lives in the Petersfield area and covers most of South East Hampshire. He specialises in a cross section of work including Bank and Asset Valuations, Landlord and Tenant matters, Asset Management and most aspects of Agency including development and investment.
James is a Graduate Agency Surveyor who joined HI&M in June 2022 following a change in career.
He previously spent 5 years in the Recruitment industry and specialised in the property sector, before embarking on his own career in the sector.
James has an MSc in Sports Psychology, and is currently undergoing another MSc in Real Estate, along side his APC with the University College of Estate Management.
Catherine is one of the Facilities Managers with Holloway Iliffe and Mitchell. Her most important aim is to offer the best service possible with the support and guidance of both colleagues and management. She is totally passionate about the property world and hopes to make a positive difference to all the estates that she helps manage.
Gina Garrett joined Holloway Iliffe & Mitchell in 2017 having moved to Southsea that same year. Before joining our team she had previously worked in property insurance. Using her knowledge in the building industry Gina started working closely with the growing Property Management team and is now acting as a Facilities Manager.
Emily joined Holloway Iliffe & Mitchell in October 2023 as a Facilities Manager within the busy management department. Emily has worked in the property industry since 2018, in client-side roles within the retail and hospitality sectors. She has worked on both the landlord, tenant and now the managing agent side of property. She enjoys the challenges that arise and that no two days are the same in the industry.
Jacqui joined Holloway Iliffe & Mitchell in October 1999 primarily as a secretary to the 3 Directors but her role within the firm has evolved extensively as the company has grown over the years to include all aspects of secretarial and office administration for the Agency, Management & Accounts departments as well as managing the day to day running of the office and reception. She lives in Southsea with her husband and enjoys spending time with family, friends and travelling.
Christine’s career started in banking and finance, with a transition to property management accounts in 2005. During her time in the commercial property sector, she has covered all aspects of service charge accounting. Christine joined Holloway Iliffe and Mitchell in July 2020, where her role includes overseeing the work of the property management accounts team, producing service charge reconciliations, streamlining reporting procedures and providing training.
Rani joined Holloway Iliffe & Mitchell in October 2021 as the property management accounts assistant, having started her career in banking, and holds a Masters in Computer Applications, and AAT Level 3. Rani’s current role involves processing all banking transactions, and liaising with tenants and suppliers to resolve any queries
Amitha joined Holloway, Iliffe & Mitchell in 2021, having transitioned from Pension and Investment administration. Her role as property management accounts supervisor includes client liaison regarding statements and VAT reports, resolving tenant queries, and managing the rent deposits and bank reconciliations.
Ann Sawyers joined Holloway Iliffe & Mitchell in November 2019 after previously working in the insurance industry. She is currently responsible for credit control, assisting with reception duties and processing Anti Money Laundering Checks, she lives in Southsea and enjoys eating out and sea swimming.
Harry joined Holloway Iliffe & Mitchell in May 2024 and has 8 years’ experience in real estate, dealing with both rent reviews and lease renewals on commercial premises within Portsmouth. During this time Harry completed his degree in real estate at Portsmouth University, graduating in July 2023 with first-class honours.
Outside the office, Harry enjoys competing in a variety of sports, the main of which being football and golf.
