On behalf of Viking Test, Holloway Iliffe & Mitchell has let 5,000 sq ft at 5 Bedford Road to family run motor servicing and repairs firm Automatt.   Acquired by Viking Test earlier in 2019, and now substantially occupied by them, the secure site has now been significantly refurbished. Automatt, which was established in 2015 had outgrown its previous base in Rake, expanding the business, taking a new 10-year lease on the rear workshop at number 5.   Bedford Road continues to be a popular location for a range of businesses. Located close to the A3 and Petersfield town centre, it has attracted a number of owner managed businesses to the industrial units as inward investment continues to benefit one of Hampshire’s top market towns.   Commenting on the transaction, Director Stuart Mitchell said: “The South Coast has seen a substantial reduction in industrial space over recent years as very little new or quality refurbished space has come to the market. 2019 has seen a marked change in this; Bedford Road is an example.”   Automatt’s Matthew Bartlett added: “Since our inception four years ago, Automatt’s business has grown much faster than we have originally anticipated. Relocating to Bedford Road will enable us to continue to expand our offering to existing and new clients within the same patch as before.”
